Peek graduated with an MFA in painting from the University of California, Berkeley and BA in Art History from Wellesley College, Boston. She has taught painting at the San Francisco Art Institute, Diablo Valley College, Academy of Art University, Dominican University in San Rafael, California, and been a visiting lecturer at University of California at Berkeley.
