Lynette Cook depicts urban landscapes of San Francisco’s Chinatown and surrounding regions. Her images — often, gritty scenes that we tend to look past — are painted with harmony, sensitivity, and occasionally even humor. There is poetry and beauty in the stark urban scenes that could be from any metropolitan area and often feature laundry blowing in the urban jungle breezes.
